Knowing what the editor wanted enabled me to narrow my focus. Even so, I felt there was far too much ground still to cover in a single feature, but I managed it. I covered as many of the most interesting areas in southern England as I could, and I stayed within what I perceived to be the guidelines of the magazine. I gave the editor what he wanted, and my acceptance slip came back by return mail. I had it in my hand in less than a week after I had submitted the work. Castle Country ran in PHOTOgraphic some six months or so later.

If you just upload it and let it sit there, well…. L. 99 and it’s well worth it – no, I won’t get a penny for that plug; it’s just the best resource for online marketing I’ve read so far. So now let’s continue the process: I can write one of these features in a matter of hours, so can you (once you have the photographs, of course).
